Thumbs up PETITION: Make HA a better place, (not another 8v8 whiner thread)

Hi guys

First of all, thanks for reading this thread and I hope you see my point.

HA at the moment is a bad place not only because of skill unbalance and map changes but also because of the social attitude of many players, everytime you go into HA ID1 you can see atleast 2 or 3 players flaming each other, so what is this thread all about?

I vote here that if Anet changes HA to 8v8 and makes it a better place like the old tomb days that each High ranked player help atleast 5 unranked players to learn HA and get into it and most important, enjoy themselves like we all are trying to do .

My idea is, a experienced player teach a young willing to learn new player in HA and show them why we argue so much and fight to make it a better place,

If HA gets better I promise here, I'm going to help new players and teach them how to play HA, not just making a sticky because you don't learn much from reading, if people start to get along better maybe things will also get better. My idea is, and this is what I'm going to do, if Anet fixes HA I will make a thread in services sub-forum saying that I will take 1 Unranked player at the time in each group I form, and try to give them the rope to climb out those mountain ranks easier, by saying this I mean teaching them tactics, builds and what's good and what's not, no this won't be just another fame farming thread with IWAY 2k each fame, this will be a completly free service with no IWAY/blood spike/other gimmic builds, just a free service for people willing to learn and take advice and run better builds like balanced, condition pressure, etc.

So I'm asking every experienced player to try and do this and maybe HA will become a better place and people won't say that everyone is a "elitist prick", so give new players some love because they need to learn aswel and we can all help them.

If anyone is willing to help new players in PvP and show them what HA is all about and that we aren't all "meanies that got our rank with IWAY or old pre-nerf spiritspam" then post here and /sign this thread.

I'm hoping to see some familiar names in this thread and that my friends like this idea, however no one is forced to do it and we can understand why you wouldn't, but maybe half an hour of our time can make PvP 100x better for someone forever.

Rules:

New Player must be willing to learn and listen and be polite
Experienced player must be willing to teach, be patient and try his best.

I'm personally making this offical with a thread in the Services forum if HA gets better, if not then this thread is useless but until then /sign if you like this idea and support it, if you think I'm just begging for attention, well think about my side, I already play with r9-12 players so I am not receiving anything from this service, Just want to give.

Peace~

I was just doing a search for this kind of thread and been meaning to create one for a while - I've seen the idea bandied around in Riverside but seems no-one's actually put it into words in this section.

I'm a hardened PvE player who's occasionally dabbled in PvP and would really like to get into it a bit more but the attitudes you find in there in general are appalling. I know there's nothing to be done about that but grind teeth, but it might be nice if there was a "baby" HA where unranked players can practice and gain a bit of rank before heading into the big boys arena. Somewhere where teams don't demand r9 before they'll let you play, and where people don't flame each other with constant n00b comments (ok, maybe that last part is unattainable ).

But it seems reasonable that if GW was designed to progress players from PvE into PvP it might be wise to have this "sandpit" interim between going from PvE to proper HA...

As taffette, I am a PvE player and always have been. I managed to get a few fame points by joining n00b SF groups, but tbh, that wasn't REAL HA and I knew it. Other than that, I am never able to get into a group and would love to get an opportunity to play some HA with experienced players who can teach me something.

Speaking as one of those unranked newbies, I could really benefit from this. I think your rules are great. Nobody likes a noob that comes into the PvP environment thinking they know everything. I'm more than willing to admit that I don't know much about the builds and which skills to junk. But, I promise my monk won't bring Flare. (Don't ask! Different thread).

You're right. There are too many noobs yelling "Elitist Jerk!" and too many pros yelling "Stupid Noob!" That will probably never change, but it's nice to see one of the pros taking a big step to try and make a difference.

I don't think my chars are ready yet to succeed in PvP. I need to unlock PvE content and earn more skills first, but I may take you up on your offer in a few months. I promise only to try my best and not be an obnoxious know-it-all.

I'm gonna go help some people right now! Although I have rank 1, I have been playing GW for nearly two years, and I know how HA works very well. through my constant losses, I have learned, and people will learn even more quickly than I did if this is put into action.

I am also more of a pve player and i had a short time of pvp where i did build some fame (unfortunally it was most IWAY, cause i just could't get fame without it ). I don't like to constantly being in a PUG Group with a standard spike build, where u get through the first part with 8% moral or some and then being owned by the opponent.

So i sign cause i want better PVP and great groups with some skill and some with less skill, to be in a group to have fun and win some matches and no contantly standard spike builds.
